In considering all aspects of this type of eyepiece, we carefully analyzed every detail of existing eyepiece construction. Our desire was to bring you the ultimate high contrast eyepiece. In choosing the optics we utilized glass having very high transmission characteristics from 400-700nm giving our monocentric eyepiece the most natural color possible. We tested several broadband coatings and chose the best coatings for optimal color balance and transmission properties. We pushed optical performance to new levels. We achieved simultaneously over 30% increase in field of view, 70% reduction in field curvature, and 80% increase in eye relief over a traditional monocentic eyepiece. In the construction of the eyepiece body a special preparation and finish was applied to eliminate internal reflections. The internal and external finish was also optimized to eliminate reflections and light scatter. All of these features are to allow you to enjoy sharp, pinpoint imaging. This sets a new standard in planetary and double star performance. Each eyepiece comes in a custom box.
