I'm Bill Burgess, and Burgess Optical is a dream come true for me. I get to design and build all these great astronomical telescopes, binoculars, and accessories, and provide them to you, our customers. I try my best to keep MAKING AWESOME AFFORDABLE. I also get to work with my wife Tammy. She handles administrative aspects. Together, we are Burgess Optical.
We are not a large company with lots of employees and lots of overhead. Our operation is small with little overhead. That is how we keep MAKING AWESOME AFFORDABLE! Quality is important to me. I personally inspect the products we ship to our customers.
Our first appearance as a Star Party vendor was in 2000 at the Tennessee Star Party. Since then, we have attended more events than we can count across the US and overseas.
In 2004, Burgess Optical began working with Thomas Back of TMB Optical to develop and bring to market new products. The first of these products were introduced in 2005 and included the line of Planetary eyepieces.

WE WANT YOU, THE CUSTOMER, TO ENJOY USING OUR PRODUCTS FOR A LIFETIME. THEREFORE, WE HAVE CREATED OUR LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR OUR RIFLESCOPES, BINOCULARS AND SPOTTING SCOPES.
WE WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE THE PRODUCT AT NO CHARGE TO YOU. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER LOSS, THEFT, IF THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN MODIFIED, MISUSED OR HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY ACCIDENT, ABUSE, OR MISAPPLICATION. THIS WARRANTY EXCLUDES ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS WHICH ARE COVERED BY A SEPARATE 2-YEAR WARRANTY. ALSO, EXCLUDES ACCESSORIES.
