12-27-07 The Paragon 30mm Eyepieces are in stock! Those who have purchased the Paragon 40 with serial numbers from 2 to 100, please contact Burgess Optical to reserve the same serial number for the Paragon 30.

10-29-07 The Burgess Optical 91 APO telescope is reviewed on the SCS Astro website. A review of the Paragon 40 is here.

10-18-07 Burgess Optical is shipping the new 91 APO Apochromatic telescopes. Those who have preordered their scopes, please be patient as Bill Burgess personally checks out each scope to ensure that it meets his high requirements for quality.

09-21-07 It is with great sadness that Burgess Optical announces the passing of Thomas Back of TMB Optical. Thomas passed away on September 13 after a long illness. We have no other information at this time. Burgess Optical sends their prayers and condolences to his family.

08-27-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Tennessee Star Party on September 14-15. Bill Burgess will be at BFSP, but a Burgess Optical representative will be at the TNSP.

08-05-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Black Forest Star Party on September 14-16. The BFSP is at Cherry Springs State Park, in Potter County, Pennsylvania.

08-01-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Oregon Star Party on August 16 and 17, along with Burgess Optical dealer Blue Planet Optics.

06-30-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Greenbank, WV, Star Quest starting on July 4.

6-13-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare in Colorado Springs on June 15 and 16. The Burgess Optical dealer, Blue Planet Optics, will be there with lots of stuff for sale.

03-13-07 Burgess Optical is pleased to announce that a new, updated line of Red Oak Binocular Mounts are now in stock and ready for shipping!

03-10-07 Warning! Because of the popularity of certain Burgess Optical and TMB Optical eyepieces, several companies have been trying to sell copies. Burgess Optical warns everyone that if a Burgess Optical or a TMB Optical product is being sold as new from someone other than Burgess Optical or an Authorized Dealer, most likely that product is not authentic and may not perform as well as an authentic Burgess Optical/TMB Optical product. In particular, there is one company in Germany selling knockoffs of the TMB Designed Planetary eyepieces, and there have been reports of those eyepieces being of substandard quality. Authentic Burgess Optical and TMB Optical products are prominantly labeled as such and look like the pictures on this site.

02-28-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Tennessee Spring Star Party at Fall Creek Falls State Park on March 16 and 17.

02-25-07 Burgess Optical has a limited quantity of their 2" Dielectric Diagonal in stock. The diagonals have a gloss finish on the diagonal body.

02-21-07 Burgess Optical has the full line of Planetary eyepieces IN STOCK, including the new version of the 6mm Planetary.

01-24-07 Burgess Optical is shipping the 3.2mm and 8mm Planetary Eyepieces! Those that pre-ordered the eyepieces should be receiving them soon.

01-22-07 Burgess Optical will be at the Winter Star Party in Florida on February 14-18. Burgess Optical will not have a booth set up at the WSP, because the WSP requires vendors to be there for the full event and Bill will be flying back from England after the WSP starts. Bill Burgess will be on the field with his scopes and equipment setup for all to see and use.

01-22-07 Burgess Optical will be at the European Astrofest in London, England on February 9 and 10.

01-22-07 Burgess Optical will be at BobFest on January 27. BobFest is being held at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.
