The TMB Optical Collimatable Diagonal is the first of its kind! A diagonal with a very flat mirror - 1/10^th wave after coating - that can be collimated. A design so new and unique that it is patent pending!

Get the most out of your telescope by ensuring that your diagonal does not alter the collimation of your telescope. Traditional diagonals either cannot be collimated or can only be collimated by shimming the mirror, a laborous and delicate procedure. No more! With the TMB Diagonal, perfect collimation can be maintained all the way to the eyepiece by adjusting only 4 setscrews. Two setscrews adjust the mirror up or down. Two more screws adjust the mirror left or right. Very intuitive. No guessing which screw to turn.

The TMB Collimatable Diagonal has these features:

• The collimation mechanism is patent pending.
• Collimation is adjusted through 4 setscrews on the bottom of the diagonal. One pair of setscrews adjusts the up-down collimation, the other pair adjusts the left-right collimation.
• The diagonal body is finely machined from a solid billet of aluminum.
• The mirror is thick Pyrex and has a dielectric coating.
• The mirror has 1/10th wave accuracy - after being dielectric coated!
• The mirror has 99% reflectivity!
• The diagonal and the 1-1/4" adapter have brass compression rings to prevent marring of your eyepieces.
• The 1-1/4" adapter is recessed so your 1-1/4" eyepieces require less focuser in-travel.
• The barrel has a safety undercut to prevent the diagonal (and eyepiece) from falling out of the telescope if the telescope retaining screw loosens.
